Windows 11 Users Experiencing Widespread File Explorer Issues

Critical Error Hinders File Management

Emergency Workarounds Emerge

In a major blow to Windows 11 users, a critical error has rendered File Explorer unusable for many, severely hampering their ability to manage files and folders on their devices.

According to Microsoft's official support forums, the issue appears to have emerged after a recent Windows update, affecting a significant number of users. Users report that File Explorer crashes immediately upon launch, preventing them from accessing their files.

While Microsoft has yet to officially acknowledge the issue, various workarounds have emerged to address the problem temporarily. One such workaround involves disabling a specific service called "Windows Search" in Task Manager. Another involves booting into Safe Mode and then resetting Windows Search.

Users are advised to exercise caution and back up their important files before attempting any of the suggested workarounds, as some may involve modifying system settings.
